Desassossegar
Desassossegar is the name of an ongoing project, promoted by Liliana Abreu together with the “gymnastics group” of the Residents’ Association of the Pasteleira Social Housing Estate. Over the course of this year, the group has organized various initiatives, taking the adufe and singing as the guiding theme and reason for gathering. From these encounters emerged the Conjunto da Alegria, which, in the final quarter of this edition of Cultura em Expansão, will also feature the collaboration of Mafalda Saloio, who will introduce physical theatre and the relationship with the body in performance.
The final performance — a moment of celebration — also marks the closing of the programme devised by Teatro do Frio for the Residents’ Association of the Pasteleira Social Housing Estate, within the scope of this edition of Cultura em Expansão.

Here we do not count years, but shared bursts of laughter!
We gather to sing and play, creating a network and a community so that solitude may be exchanged for melody and the beat of the adufe.
Created in March 2024, this group is young both in its foundation and in its spirit — an essential condition of the brave women and men who make it.
We continue singing and playing, happier and closer with every tune.”
